VHS video tape station

  • Only North American format "NTSC" tapes are supported
  • VHS-C to VHS adapter available for camcorder tapes

Borrow our camcorders to digitize:

  • Hi8 / 8mm video tape camcorder (NTSC only)
  • MiniDV camcorder (NTSC only)

Or bring your own camcorder to digitize other video tape formats. 

No support for any film video formats (eg. 8mm film reels, Super 8, 16mm).

Each creation station features a high-performance Windows 10 desktop computer, with Wacom Intuos Drawing Tablets, MIDI keyboards, and MIDI drum pads available to borrow for in-library use!

    Come by for an orientation where staff will show you the library's audio recording equipment and studios. After attending this session, you'll know what you need to do to get started with recording anything from music to audiobooks.

  • What are storyboards, and how do you use them?

    Join the Inspiration Lab staff for a presentation on how to use storyboards when planning out your creative projects. We will cover some aspects of visual design, as well as storyboarding conventions and digital assets you can use to make your own storyboards. Learn how to communicate ideas visually when creating anything from comics to documentary films, and potentially save time on your creative projects.

    Wacom Intuos drawing tablets are a useful tool for anyone looking to make art on a computer. Join us in the Inspiration Lab to learn how to use our drawing tablets, find resources, and get practice drawing digitally.

    No registration required. Seating is limited, so we recommend arriving early.
