Programs for Teens

  • May is Asian Heritage Month, a time to honour and celebrate the legacy and ongoing contributions of Asian Canadians to our nation. We invite you to explore resources and events at VPL celebrating Asian Heritage Month!

  • Celebrated annually in May, Asian Heritage Month commemorates the numerous ways that Asian Canadians have contributed to shaping Canada’s history.

  • Submit your writing and artwork and you could be featured in ink, a teen journal for writing and visual art published by Vancouver Public Library.

  • Every year, the month of June is recognized as National Indigenous History Month – a month dedicated to honouring, commemorating, and celebrating the history, experiences, and achievements of Indigenous people.

  • Reading Buddies is a program that pairs teens aged 13-18 with kids in grades 2 to 4 who would like to improve their reading. We are looking for role models who can connect with children and help them become engaged with the library and develop a love of reading and learning. Be a big buddy and earn community service hours!

  • Be a big buddy and earn community service hours! Buddies will help kids explore a different aspect of STEAM each week using LEGO, Osmos, and Spheros.

  • Come hang out and stitch with us! Bring something you’d like to mend or embroider, or use our supplies to start a new project.

    Central Library | Monday, April 28 | 2 - 4 p.m.

  • TAG stands for Teen Advisory Group – a place where you can share your ideas about the library’s teen programs, services and collections and earn community service hours!

    Registration is now closed.
