Storytime Kits

Storytime Kits are a useful tool for daycares, Strong Start Centres, family child care leaders, and other child care providers. Using these kits will help children develop early literacy skills while providing a variety of engaging, enjoyable activities for youngsters and caregivers alike.

Based on several fun and educational themes, each kit includes 10 colourful picture books, a felt story to share, puppets, a CD, toys and lists of related rhymes and songs to use during circle time or story time.

Storytime kits can be borrowed by anyone who has a valid VPL Child Care Centre Card. Daycares, Family Child Centres, Preschools, Out-of-school or Childminding Centres, and Family Places in the Interlink area may have a free VPL card. StrongStart Centres are also eligible to obtain these cards and check out these kits.
