What advantages does the Palace Project offer?

VPL is proud to be piloting this app in Canada, and to offer you a first look at the future of e-reading for libraries. While still early in its development, Palace already offers several key advantages:

  1. Palace will allow us to provide titles from multiple vendors in a single VPL-centric app. (Before Palace, ebooks and audiobooks could only be accessed through their respective vendor’s app.)
  2. With Palace, we will be able to provide previously unavailable content, such as a growing selection of Audible Exclusive titles.

Sign in with your library card to find OverDrive titles, Audible Exclusive titles, and a collection of 6000+ Always Available Audiobooks. Additional collections to come, so stay tuned for updates!

Is The Palace Project Compatible with my Device?

Palace is compatible with Android devices running Android 7.0+, and Apple devices running iOS 15+. For a complete and up-to-date list of compatible devices, visit this page.

Please note that Palace does not currently work on desktop web browsers, however this is a feature that will be added in the future.
