Courtney Chu is a marketing and communications strategist with a focus on health communication and public safety. She currently leads the marketing team at Technical Safety BC, where she crafts safety campaigns aimed at reducing risk and building a stronger province-wide safety system. Previous roles include communications at Vancouver Coastal Health and the BC Patient Safety Quality Council (Health Quality BC). Courtney holds a BA and an MA in Communication from Simon Fraser University. She is also a Board Director for the International Association of Business Communicators BC (IABC/BC) and has volunteered with Canada Learning Code, as well as Cold Tea Collective.

On the weekends, you can find Courtney visiting her local library branch, playing tennis, or going for long walks with her labradoodle, Juno.
