Acclaimed screenwriter, poet and young adult fiction author Gabrielle Prendergast has written numerous screen plays for television, including the animated series Gloria’s House and Fairy Tale Police Department. She also wrote and co-produced the award-winning film Hildegarde (based on her novel), which won the Tokyo Children’s Film Festivals Grand Prize in 2003. Prendergast's novel Audacious received rave reviews, appearing on both the Canadian Children’s Book Centre’s Best Books and the Westchester Fiction Award Winners list in 2014.
