Parveen is a licensed pharmacist with over 20 years of experience in the industry. Her previous roles include pharmacy operations manager throughout British Columbia, guest lecturing at UBC, and advocating for the business and profession of pharmacy at both of the national advocacy associations. Throughout her career, Parveen has participated in numerous committees, working groups and boards, most recently as Director on the Board of the College of Speech and Hearing Health Professionals. Parveen has also volunteered her time to a variety of causes including hospice care, a domestic violence shelter and helpline, and a number of projects with the World Sikh Organization.
Currently Parveen is focused on her most challenging and fulfilling role to date, as mother of two young children and working to build a future that allows them to feel a sense of community and belonging in Vancouver. As an avid reader and great lover of libraries herself, Parveen has instilled these values in her children. From their first outings at Babytime to their now weekly trips to different libraries in East Vancouver, VPL is an integral part of Parveen and her family’s life.
