Stella MacLean, multi-published writer and author of nine Harlequin Superromance novels, is Vancouver Public Library’s 2018 writer in residence.

MacLean has worked with Harlequin Enterprises for ten years, publishing nine Superromance novels; she also has four published titles through CreateSpace, Amazon’s self-publishing platform. A long-time member of Romance Writers of America (and part of their board for two years) and Romance Writers of Atlantic Canada, MacLean was also a Golden Heart Finalist –  the RWA award that promotes excellence in the romance genre.

Focusing on contemporary romance and romantic suspense, MacLean draws on her experience as a registered nurse, hospital manager, certified public accountant, mother, wife, grandmother, sister and friend. MacLean enjoys the thrill of devising a plot and discovering the right characters; her books explore the idea that love and laughter bring out the best in us.
