Be a big buddy and earn community service hours!

What is Reading Buddies?

Reading Buddies is a program that pairs teens aged 13-18 with kids in grades 2 to 4 who would like to improve their reading. We are looking for role models who can connect with children and help them become engaged with the library and develop a love of reading and learning. Teens must be able to participate in all sessions.

The program includes a training component and will have ongoing support from library staff.

Due to high demand, Reading Buddies is limited to Vancouver residents only.
