TAG stands for Teen Advisory Group – a place where you can share your ideas about the library’s teen programs, services and collections and earn community service hours! Our citywide TAGs bring teens together from all over Vancouver using Zoom or in-person!

What do TAG members do?

  • Advise librarians on programs and services
  • Develop and lead teen programs when possible
  • Meet every two weeks in-person or online using Zoom
  • Promote the library as a great place to be

When does TAG meet?

TAG meets September-June.

Meetings take place virtually on Zoom (link will be emailed before the meeting) or in-person at one of our branches every second Tuesday, Wednesday, or Thursday from 4-5 p.m.

 

Where does TAG meet?

FULL Virtual TAG: Online via Zoom every other Tuesday @ 4 p.m. starting September 24 

FULL Central Branch:  Every other Wednesday @ 4 p.m.starting September 25

FULL - Kensington Branch: Every other Tuesday @ 4 p.m. starting September 24

FULL Renfrew Branch : Every other Thursday @ 4 p.m. starting September 26

FULL Kerrisdale Branch: Every other Thursday @ 4 p.m. starting September 26

FULL Kitsilano Branch:  Every other Wednesday @ 4 p.m. starting September 25

 

How can I volunteer for TAG? 
Membership is open to anyone 13-18 years of age living in Vancouver.

ink TAG

Are you interested in helping put together ink, VPL's journal of teen writing and art? ink Teen Advisory Group members are involved in all aspects of the magazine's publishing cycle, including selecting pieces, magazine design and layout, and planning the launch party. They will also participate in mentoring workshops with artists and writers. Email teens@vpl.ca to participate!

When does ink TAG meet?

ink TAG meets from February - December. Our current dates are every second Thursday, February 6 - May 29, 4 - 5p.m.

Where does ink TAG meet?

Meetings are held online via Zoom with the exception of March 6th and May 29th, which will be held at the Central Library (Room 920).

How can I volunteer for ink TAG?

Membership is open to anyone 13-18 years of age living in Vancouver. Email teens@vpl.ca to register.
