Barbara Nickel is the author of books for young people, including Hannah Waters and the Daughter of Johann Sebastian Bach, which won the Sheila A. Egoff Children’s Literature Prize and was shortlisted for the Governor General’s Award. She lives in Yarrow, B.C. with her husband and two sons.
In addition to illustrating a number of picture books, Gillian Newland’s artwork can be seen on the covers of several young adult novels and in magazines. She has won the Ruth Schwartz Award and been nominated for the Lane Anderson Award. Gillian lives in Toronto with her husband and their pet fish, Chris Redfield.
