Hana Hashimoto, Sixth Violin

Ever since she heard her grandfather play the violin, Hana has wanted to master the instrument as well. Although brothers tease her, she keeps practicing; but will she be able to muster the courage to play in front of an audience at her school’s talent show?

Chieri Uegaki is a second-generation Japanese-Canadian who was born in Quesnel, British Columbia. By the age of one, she and her parents had moved to East Vancouver, where she and her two sisters grew up. Chieri now lives on the Sunshine Coast with her husband and two dogs, Nika and Rosie.

Qin Leng was born in Shanghai to an artistic family, and now lives in Toronto. Her cute and quirky illustrations feature in books published all over the world. She is also known for her animated short films and still has a day job in the animation industry.
