Spark is an irresistible little dragon who has a lot of trouble controlling his flame. A great read-aloud with a humorous storyline, simple, rhythmic sentences, fantastic fire noises (CRACKLE! WHOOSH! PIFF!), and a satisfying conclusion.
Kallie George lives and works in Vancouver. She teaches creative writing workshops. Her whimsical children’s books often feature magical animals like dragons and mermaids.
Geneviève Côté won the General Governor’s Award for Illustration in 2007. She has also done many editorial illustrations for major newspapers such as the New York Times and Wall Street Journal. Coté lives in Montreal.
