Stepping Stones: a Refugee Family's Journey
By Margriet Ruurs; illustrated y Nizar Ali Badr
A river of strangers in search of a place
To be free, to live and laugh, to love again.
In search of a place where bombs did not fall,
Where people did not die on their way to market.
A river of people in search of peace.
Margriet Ruurs has a Master’s degree in Education from SFU, and loves to visit schools to tell children about being a writer and to share her love of playing with language, Margriet has lived in many places, but she now lives on Salt Spring Island, B.C. where she runs a booklovers’ Bed & Breakfast.
