Electoral Process
Municipal (general local) elections in BC are held every four years on the third Saturday in October. In each election, residents of Vancouver can vote for a number of representatives in each of the following positions:
- 1 mayor and 10 councillors for Vancouver City Council
- 7 commissioners for the Vancouver Board of Parks and Recreation
- 9 trustees for the Vancouver School Board
