Use the resources below to find organizations in your geographic area that can help you navigate the challenges you're facing. Note that the availability of certain services may depend on your current status in Canada (e.g., citizen, permanent resident, refugee/refugee claimant, temporary foreign worker, student, etc.).
Neighbourhood Houses
Neighbourhood houses are good places to find out about community services, meet new people, and explore volunteer opportunities. They are intended as welcoming spaces where people of all ages, nationalities, and abilities can attend, participate, belong, and learn. Settlement workers in schools provide orientation information and support to recently arrived immigrant students in the K-12 public school system, as well as to their families.
