Unreal Engine
Unreal Engine is a 3D computer graphics game engine developed by Epic Games. It is an advanced real-time 3D creation tool with many uses from games, film and TV, architecture and automotive, to broadcast and live events, simulation, and more. Have a look at Unreal Engine’s 2022 Virtual Production Sizzle Reel to see what’s possible!
While Unreal Engine has a version that is free to download, many home computers do not meet the minimum system requirements to run the software. Fortunately, it can be used in the Inspiration Lab! The version of Unreal Engine we have available is 5.0. While the software is free to use, commercial use must pay 5% royalties after a title earns over $1 million USD. Please note that C++ use with Unreal Engine is not currently enabled on Inspiration Lab computers.
