SimplyAnalytics Guide
SimplyAnalytics is a powerful research tool that creates thematic maps and charts that display information on demographics, Canadian census data, household/consumer spending on hundreds of goods and services, business locations, and detailed business profiles from Dun & Bradstreet. Digital lifestyle data providing mobile phone ownership/usage, detailed social media behaviours and activities, and online shopping insights is also provided. Professional-quality reports can be exported to Excel, PDF & MS Word formats.
Please note:
- Limited to 5 simultaneous users.
- Resource will time out after 20 minutes of inactivity.
- Not optimized for phones and tablets.
Available at all branches and from home for Vancouver Public Library card holders only.
HOW TO ACCESS
Access SimplyAnalytics by going to the Digital Library and type in “simplyanalytics” in the search box.

CREATE AN ACCOUNT
On your first visit, you can create an account or sign in as a guest. When you sign in as a guest, your searches and projects will not be saved, but you can import your data once you are done.
When you finish creating an account, you will need to return to the library’s portal to access SimplyAnalytics and sign in again to activate your account. After logging in you will be taken to SimplyAnalytics’s main page. You have the option of viewing a short tour on the site’s layout.
Otherwise, you will be prompted to create a new project.
